What Causes Swelling Of Feet And Ankle While Taking Losartan-hctz?

I am a 77 year old lady. Weight 225 lbs. 5:3 trying to loose weight, on no grain diet. I have arthritis an using copd machine. Six months ago lost a son to a.l.s. Seems I have been on delayed depression an have been sitting around a lot. I have a new doctor. Who was concerned about weight of course.put me on losartan-hctz 100-25 mg tab ( I per day. Don t have appt until a month from now. (Mean while feet an anckles r really swollen an will not go down even while I sleep. Thanks for any help! Sincerely Betty

Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern swelling could be due cardiovascular disease and this is need to be investigated properly, congestive cardiac failure need to be ruled out, and for that better to get done ECHO and EKG, till then you may continues the given medicines, take care.
