What Causes Swelling, Itching And Burning Around The Toe Nail?
I am having a problem with my big toe. Symptoms appear to be a swelling at the side of the toenail, itching, burning and much discomfort. If I scratch, it only itches and burns more. It feels exactly like a cold sore, but on my toe. Cold sore medications have no reaction on this blister though.

This sounds like an infected ingrown toenail and you need to see a doctor to dislodge the ingrown section and to give you a course of antibiotics
