I fell like my throat is swollen and it is difficult to breath, i also feel like i have something blocking the food pipe. it has been like this for about five days now. It comes on after i eat and will last up to 8 hours. I have been a smoker for 4 years, do i have anything to worry about?

hello,thanx for ur query, feeling something is blocking ur food pipe reveals, some obstruction inside d tube or from outside compression. it can be ruled out by ent examination,xray neck , ultrasound neck.kindly visit an ent surgeon to evaluate, as ur already with smoking as a risk factor. it can be simple acidity to major growth or could be some neurological cause can be treated by medication. all d best.take care.
