General & Family Physician 's  Response
hello dear,
thanks for writing
Leg swelling caused is by the retention of fluid in leg tissues. It can be caused by a problem with the circulatory system, the lymphatic system or the kidneys.

I would like to advise you few investigations before I could arrive at a diagnosis
renal function test,ECG,chest xray, liver function test.

lesix 20 may provide relief, salt restriction will help leg elevation should be avoided unless a cardiac failure is ruled out, rest treatment depends on the findings

hope this was helpful, let me know if you have any further queries.
I find this answer helpful
