What Causes Swelling In The Forehead And Eyes?

My daughter woke up yesterday with a swollen forehead and swollen eye area. Today the swelling is reduced in her forehead, but now both eyes, as well as the bridge of her nose, are swollen. She has no evidence of bites, no new foods, no new lotions/make-up. There is no pain or itching. She took some Benedryl yesterday. What might be causing this migrating swelling?

Hello,

She may need to get tested. This migration swelling seems mostly related to allergies. She may need to do prednisone injection to help reduce swelling.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
