What Causes Swelling In The Feet And Ankles?

What is the cause of swelling in the feet and ankles. I take medicine for high blood pressure, I do not have diabetes. I have a weight problem, I need to lose 40-50 pounds. It mostly happens when I am at work sitting all day, once I start moving around, and/or elevate my legs the swelling goes down.

Hi Thanks for posting on hcm
I suppose you might have venous pooling because of prolonged sitting. It is a condition where due to gravity blood pools in the lower limb blood vessels due to sitting for long times with legs down.
I recommend you to keep moving in between at short intervals so that it keeps up the blood circulation in the body.
Hooe this is helpful
