What Causes Swelling In The Feet And Ankles While On Neurontin?

I am on Neurontin and just increased my dosage from 2,400 mg a day to 3,000 mg a day and now my feet and angles are swollen. Along with the Neurontin I am also taking a 100 mg of Baclofen a day. The swelling has just started this pass week. I have started to decrease my Neurontin down to 1,800 mg a day and plan to take the dosage down to zero. What can I do about the swelling?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello

The swelling on your feet and ankles is not related to the Neurontin use. There are 2 main explanation for that:
1. primary neurological disorder you've been prescribed Neurontin
2. internal organs issues: cardiovascular, kidney, liver

So, need to run a few diagnostic tests to rule out the above mentioned pathologies. That's why I highly recommend to consult with your caring doctor as soon as possible. Discuss with him/her about my suggestion.

All the best.
