4 days ago, in the early morning I sleepily put hydrogen peroxide in my left ear and then came back to my room and fell asleep with my left ear up for about 3 hours. When I woke up my ear burned and now, 4 days later, my ear is swollen, visibly swollen when looking at my ear canal (almost completely - think lips resting together) and the side of my face in from of my ear and I can feel the tube behind my ear. I have been using antibiotic ear drops as to avoid an infection as well as ibuprofen and Tylenol for the swelling and pain (helps for pain, not much for swelling). As I know hydrogen peroxide will cause fingget nail beds to become swollen, irritated and painful if it is not washed off - is this what has happened to my ear?
