What Causes Swelling In The Cheek?

I have something inside my cheek, inside, as in between the outside and inside of my cheek. I noticed it about 5 years ago, it never seems to really bother me until the last week, where it seems to have swelled. What could this be and what type of doctor should I see?

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

How old are you? Is it mobile swelling? Is there any pain? Possible causes are like lipoma or boil or mucosal cyst etc. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Please get it done ultrasound of the cheek or MRI. Consult with your ENT specialist/oral pathologist he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
