My husband, who is on blood thinners because of an artificial aortic valve, fell off his bike last Sunday. he landed on his left butt cheek which swelled up an he was in a lot of pain. He did go to the Dr on Monday and had an xray to make sure that nothing was fractured. The results were negative. Just a huge hematoma. No bruising until Tuesday. He has been icing it and trying to stay off his feet but he still goes into work. The swelling has gone down a little but today I noticed that the bruising is moving down his leg, And now his calf, ankle and foot are swelling and turning blue & purple. He is still in a lot of discomfort. Is this normal or should I be taking him into the Dr again?
