What Causes Swelling In The Body While Suffering From Diabetes?

My stress test showed mildly positive ischemia. I have been put to medication i.e. ecospirin 75/10. I have diabetes for past 2 years. I have started taking tablets since last 6 months. Dr prescribed Teneligliptin 20 mg and Metformin HYdrochoride 1000 mg. My cardiologist called me after a month and she will decide whether I am required to go in for angiography, etc. Pl. suggest whether I should go in for angio graphy or I will take treatment from Madhavbaug clinics i.e. ayurvedic treatment. I am scared of angiography. My age is 46 yrs. also, I get swellings on parts of body, whenever, I am hurt a little even. If I bang into something it swells up immediately and the swelling keeps spreading to surrounding areas also and the whole portion swells up and then second day onwards swelling starts reducing and third day I am ok I showed to my diabetologist and many tests were prescribed but why it happens is not known. Please reply doctor.

Hello Dear. You have heart ailments and diabetes from a quite young age now. Anyways, whether you have to go for angiography or not will be decided by the cardiologist based on several things like Treadmill test, ECHO looking at various factors like Ejection fraction etc. Trust your doctor and do as he or she says.

Whether you take Allopathic medication or Ayurvedic medication depends on your faith. But stick to one of that. Each one has its own pros and cons. Dont go for doctor shopping.

Swelling of different parts of body can arise as a complication of diabetes like nephropathy and congestive cardiac failure. Keep your blood sugars under control.
