What Causes Swelling In Lymph Nodes?

my lymph nodes underneath my chin are mildly swollen it has been like this for almost a week - I have a hiatal hernia that sometimes causes me to throw up and the last time I did they got rather large then went down immediately but have been a little swollen since

Incomplete data like age, gender, any history of sore throat or infection.

Swelling is suggestive of enlarged submental lymph node.

The oral cavity is full of microorganisms and prone to minor infections and trauma. This node may persist for prolonged period of time.
If they continue to enlarge or if there is a change in consistency or become painful they should be properly evaluated to rule out the infections of the orapharynx, or other inflammatory conditions, etc.
