What Causes Swelling In Legs Post Lapchole Surgery?

I had a lap chole last friday - it was a bit more intensive than they thought I had enough scar tissue that the gallbladder had partially fused to my liver. I am home now after a week in the hospital and recovering well. No pain and all incisions are clean and healing well. Yesterday I noticed that my feet and calves were very noticeably swollen. I tried taking an OTC water pill - it has not helped. Is this something I should be concerned about?
