What Causes Swelling In Groin Area?

my friend has complained to me about a swelling in his groin. no redness, just swelling on and off for a few months now. Only now he says the parts that aren t swollen seem numb and he can t seem to get an erection. I m worried. Anything you can tell me? He s going to try and schedule a physical.

I think he should get further evaluated doing an ultrasound of the swollen area. The numbness can be caused because of the nerve compression.
