What Causes Swelling In Elbow And Fever?

my left elbow is red -swollen -very warn to the touch-and ache. very tender . i had a temp. of 102.8 almost went into septic shock. after 4 days in the hospital i was sent home with a strong antibodies. still a little swollen still warm . i am afraid of having a back lash because it is not completed gone. Please what can i do to help this process. I am in good health ( or was) and i am 72 years of age

hi,

thank you for Providing the brief history of you.

As you had been to a hospital stay and post which you have redness at the elbow region which is painful, I think this is more of a pressure sore. Like your age is 72, so lying down in the bed the elbow , shoudler blade, occipital region, etc are the pressure sore prone areas.

As I mentioned this is just a sore beginning and not so harmful. using quick icing will help get rid of this symptoms.
