What Causes Swelling Between The Anus And Scrotum?

I was diagnosed with a single minor (internal) hemorrhoid a couple weeks ago by my doctor (who I can't reach on the weekend). At the time there was no prostatitis. I was instructed to just get more fiber and fruit in my diet to keep my stool softened. I'm not experiencing pain, itching, or blood in stool. But I've noticed in the past two days increased swelling between the anus and scrotum. There's no pain, but the swelling makes me nervous as it is a constant presence. Is this most likely hemorrhoid-related, or possibly something else I should get checked out immediately?

Hi.
Thanks for the query.
Noted the history and understood the concerns.
Internal piles are in no way related to the painless swelling in the perineum that the area between the anus and scrotum,
This may be a cyst that you have noticed recently as this is painless hence difficult to say to be due to abscess or infection as this is very painful and tender.
Yes, it is better to get a clinical examination done to get a confirmed diagnosis to know the exact cause to alleviate the stress that you have.
Continue taking high fiber diet.
Take laxatives.
Do not fondle the swelling unnecessarily.
