What Causes Swelling Around The Ankle After An Ankle Sprain?

I sprained my ankle over 2 weeks ago and although the bruising has nearly gone I still get swelling around the ankle and it gets worse as the day goes on. It is still painful and is stiff and hurts, I can walk but the swelling gets worse when I do, now my leg and knee feels a bit numb.. I m quite concerned

You might have caught up with bursitis. You need to take diclofenac with serratiopeptidase combination tablets twice a day for 5 days. It should subside.
