Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband nose is usually getting red and sore and getting bigger now. He said its just a runny nose and he always sneeze whenever he smells some dusty stuff. I dont believe that its just a runny nose or something because i noticed this for more than years now And keeps on coming back. what solution for this?he went to eent a couple of months ago and gave ointment but it doesnt work.
Hi, Welcome to the HCM, Recurrent runny nose and sneezing could be because of allergy and hypersensitivity which runs in families and can be prevented from recurrent allergic response by avoiding triggering factors like dust, pollens, cold weather etc and some medicines for example anti histamines can help relieving the symptoms. Since recurrent rinnorhea(runny nose) can be associated with polyp in nose,so I would suggest to get checked by an ENT doctor to rule out any polyp and discuss further accordingly.
