What Causes Swelling And Pus Formation In Gums Of A Child?

I think my 1 year old son has gingivostomatitis but I m concerned I could be letting a bigger issue go. For 4 days his gums only on the front four teeth (that all just recently broke through) have been incredibly swollen red and puss-filled. He has sores in his mouth on his gums tongue and back of his throat. His cheeks seem swollen and he s been drooling and coughing. Up until all of this started he had a black and purple on his gum on the one front tooth that broke through. I took him to the pediatrician yesterday and it was brushed off as a virus. I m worried about my little guy because he s not sleeping or eating. Please help!!

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern for your son, this must not be the condition as you are thinking of that, better to take good care of oral hygiene of him, particularly prior to bed, and everything would be fine, certain condition of teeth in this age are very common and this is nothing to worry, hope this information helps, take care.
