Hello,

You may be having an ingrown toenail. You may need to repeat the surgery of removing the side of the nail and probably the doctor needs to use methods to destroy the nailbed in the area to prevent the nail from growing back (burning it with nitrate or surgically removing it).

I hope this answers your query and is helpful to you. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General and Family Physician
