What Causes Swelling And Pain In The Upper Lips And Nose?
Hi myself using chewing tobacco for nearly 4 months not continuously but very rare. Recently i have been using it for more than two weeks continuously now i feel my upper lips and my nose are slightly swollen for almost 2 days. I have very slight pain under my lips and white dot appeared and disappeared in a day. Please suggest me some tips to reduce swelling and is it a form of cancer?
First of all I would like to tell you that it is not cancer..
Secondly slight swelling and irritation can be due to the chemicals present in tobacco, some foods causing allergic reaction, due to eating lots of spicy, hot or acidic foods, any medication side effects, Orel Infection, dry mouth etc..
So first of all you should consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated so that the exact cause can be ruled out..
For now take a dose of Benadryl, gargles with warm saline solution, rinse frequently through out the day with cold water, avoid spicy foods and suck ice..
Hope this helps..
Regards.
