What Causes Swelling And Pain In The Penis Foreskin?

Hello. Called Teledoc late Thursday night. Penis foreskin red swollen hurts burns bad when I pee. He prescribed Augmentin anti biotic. Alternate Lotrimin and Cortizone. Been soaking it some in salt water. Unable to barely touch the foreskin. Have to stick finger like up in the swollen foreskin to get cream on it. Not able pull the foreskin back at all. Too swollen and sore. Very sore in side the foreskin. Is this enough treatment? How long before it should start feeling better? The antibiotic are 875mg. Anything more to do for the burning when peeing. Had like yeasty residue and tight foreskin before this.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

You should consider using an anti-inflammatory pain killer such as ibuprofen or naproxen or cataflam- One of these would help to reduce the pain and swelling.

You may also want to consider visiting your doctor for an assessment of the symptoms continue so that a urine sample can be taken and sent to the lab.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
