What Causes Swelling And Pain In The Left Leg?

Left leg from knee to about arch of foot - swollen, tender with some tingling and shooting pains and skin irritation. This is following a year long bout after apparently being bitten by something poisonous - or inflicting a wound & getting infections. Wound healed - swelling & nerve pain continue.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Thank you for your query.
Based on your query, I would like to check for filariasis and circulatory disturbances.

I recommend :
- a physician opinion. An infectious disease specialist opinion.
-blood tests (complete blood count, filarial antigen assay, kidney function tests)
-urine analysis (to check for chyluria and microfilariae)
-ultrasound of the lymphatic and vascular system of the leg.

Based on this, we can find out what is happening. I urge you to seek medical attention right away. Hope this helps.
Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.
Wish you good health.
