What Causes Swelling And Pain In The Knees?

My left knee buckled three days ago and caused swelling and knee pain. Then all seemed to right itself naturally until today. Now my entire left knee, calf, and ankle are swollen. Sometimes the outer calf feels hard. There s a small bulge in the outside calf that feels like a bruise. The skin is not hot or red. Soaked in Epsom salts bath ten minutes, which seemed to help. Help, please.
