A little over three week s ago I twisted my ankle for like two week s it was swollen and bruised all over my foot. The bruise finally went away it s still slightly swollen but I m still having pain in it. I went to the doctor he did x-rays on it and said it wasn t broke. I went back and he told me I already xrayed it there s nothing else I can do.

Hello,
Thank you for asking at HCM
I carefully read your question and I thing I understand your concern.
If you had a normal xray in the beginning this is great. You need to make sure you have good support of the ankle with tight elastic bandage during the day so you do not hurt it again and again as it is less stable already due to trauma. So keep the bandage during the day and remove it at night. keep the foot elevated if you are sited or lying down. take paracetamol and ibuprofen full dose after food for a few days and if no improvement you will need to see an orthopedic doctor and probably repeat the xray.
Hope this is helpful and answers to your question
