What Causes Swelling And Inflammation In The Ankles?

I have recently had cabbage x 2 , coronary bypass. They took vein from my left leg. I have since going back to work seen swelling in both ankles, redness, as if a rash has started, on both lower legs. Swelling in left leg has skin very taunt, and the right ankle is heading in that direction.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* As per my clinical experience, the ankle swelling and inflammation suggest issue at the donor site of bypass.

* I suggest immediate attention to your surgeon as there is swelling associated with the same, it may be cellulitis with it.

Hope I have answered your query.

Let me know if I can assist you further.
