Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Swelling And Enlargement Of The Scrotum While On Lasix?
I am experiencing a swelling and enlargement of my scrotum however there is no pain associated with this and it does not seem to be accompanied by any other symptoms. I take a fluid pill called Lasic every day for BP but There have never been any side effects previously
Swelling and enlargement of the scrotum are less likely related to consumption of lasix as you have been taking it for a long time as per your doctor’s advice for a pre-existing health condition. The reason for your symptoms is likely related to something else.
I would suggest you see your doctor and get it checked. Your doctor will do a physical examination and suggest what further things you need to do for appropriate management of the condition. He might advise you to get some diagnostic tests done to know the exact cause behind it if required.
Do not panic. Follow your doctor’s advice on this.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Manisha Auradkar, General & Family Physician
