What Causes Swelling And Discoloration Of The Fifth Metatarsal Post Surgery?
3 weeks ago I had a fracture on my fifth metatarsal. I went to the hospital got operated with some screws and cast. After two weeks I went for my first check up and took out the cast and put in moon boot. I am elevating my leg everytime day and night and not putting any weight on my leg but my leg is still green with little bit swellon. When is the right time to walk probably without crutches and moon boot and when would it turn to normal colour???

I really appreciate your concern, such condition of swelling and color change of skin could be due to soft tissue inflammation and it will take some time to come around but later or sooner it will be okay, infection need to be taken care only, else it is nothing to worry hope this information helps.
