What Causes Swelling And An Itchy Rash On The Foot?
My mother is in her early 70 s. She is taking humans injections for RA. She also just had I think it s call staghorn kidney stone removed. Now all is a sudden her right foot is very swollen and slightly dark in color. As of circulation isn t right. There also is a itchy rash now on her foot. It looks like her other foot is starting too it is now slightly red. Any ideas? One Dr said her blood isn t going up properly said to keep it elevated!!! No kidding was my response!! Nothing else was said??

It is possible that she may developed varicose veins in the leg or cellulitis or deep vein thrombosis or septicemia or septic embolism in the leg etc.
Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Other possibilities like kidney failure or cardiac or liver failure etc.
Check for if it is heat or pitting edema possibly cellulitis.
Elevate the limbs use crepe bandage, please consult your physician/surgeon they will examine and treat you accordingly.
