What Causes Swelling Along With Bruising Of Inner Cheeks?
I ve been having mouth problems for four days. Started with my inner cheeks towards the back seems swollen causing me to bite my cheeks which caused a bruise. Then I noticed little clear fluid filled bumps in my mouth first on the opposite cheeks then the inner bottom lip, now I have a small blood clot looking bump in the front lower gum, what could be going on? Should I see a dentist or doctor?
* As per my clinical experience, the swelling inside the cheeks following bite injury do suggest possible mucosal tear and secondary changes from that guidelines for better recovery
- gargles with salted lukewarm water
- prefer soft, easily chewable food stuffs
- avoid hard crackers and others which may require excess crunching
- local application of gel as lip care or others with chlorhexidine or benzyl alcohol
- multi vitamins with folic acid, methylcobalamine
- anti oxidant as zinc, magnesium and others
- taking care to have smooth bowel evacuations with bulk forming laxatives.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
