What Causes Swelling All Over The Body Along With Spasms And Delusion?

Hi Dr Van. For some months now, my dad has been severely ill and cant seem to be diagnosed properly. He has swellings all over his body, goes into Spasms, and has a bit of delusion. He was diagnosed with a heart disease last year, and treated. But he seem to be having worse symptoms now. He is 76years old.

Hello,

* As per my clinical experience, the swelling all over body with spasms and delusion can be part of various systemic response of the person.

* The most common reason among all are anasarca reaction to some sort of severe anaphylaxis allergen.

* The pathogenesis is related to eosinophils, cytokines storm via IgE and others by previous sensitization.

However, clinical examination and evaluation with necessary lab data are essential for the final diagnosis and cure accordingly.
