What Causes Swelling Above Hips?

Yes please my 72 year old father just came to me and told me to check out his left side above his hip. It is noticeably bigger and appears swollen. He says that he feels no pain and that he doesnt know howlong ne has had it. My father is a very healthy man. He runs 5 ks and marathons. I am a lil concerned because i have no idea what it could possibly be.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, in absence of any symptoms this could be nonspecific and may not be due to any disease still clinical observation is important because this makes lot of difference in my opinion keep the condition under observation for any changes if found something wrong is happening then it need to be sent for clinical examination, hope this information helps, take care.
