What Causes Sweet Taste While Taking Food?
For the past six months food has tasted like it has sugar on it. Like the after taste of an artificial sweetener. I also have had a dry, non-producing cough and have noticed that I quite often get coughing or choke in food. Any idea? A glucose test came back at 93.

Your condition is called Dysgeusia ,that is a distortion in the perception of taste.
One cause of Dysgeusia can be hyponatraemia.
On my opinion you should talk with a local doctor and get a x ray chest as soon as possible
