What Causes Sweating After Undergoing Shoulder Surgery?

hi i just had surgery on my shoulder on friday 20th.while i was recovering on the ward i was sweating enough to make my hair wet,also at home i am having the same problem.the windows are open to help me cool down,when i put my light fleece bathrobe on i break out in a heavy sweat.when i take it off it makes me feel really cold.i took co-dydramol this morning and it made me dizzy and feeling sick so i stopped taking it for now.i m 53 male and in good heath.can you tell me whats wrong before i see my GP please.

Hello,
Thanks for the concern. Sweating after surgery might be due to hypotension. So you have to measure your blood pressure and also look out for the black outs. Drink plenty of water and liquid. Consult immediately to your treating surgeon and physician.
