What Causes Suspicious Paracardiac Density In Chest X-ray?
Hi. I had chest pa xray and the result was suspicious (l) paracardiac density. suggest lateral view. so I had again the chest lateral x ray and the result says no discernible definite parenchymal infiltrate lesion. by the way i m a high school teacher and this is a routinary check up for us. please enlighten me on this. thank you very much.
Thanks for your question on HCM. Normal chest x ray is taken in PA (PosteroAnterior) view. X rays are not giving 3 dimensional picture. It gives only 2 dimensional view. So depth of the lesion whether it is superficial or deep can not be diagnosed by PA film. So to over come this lateral fim is adviced. In your x ray PA view, some opacity is seen in left paracardiac region. So to ruleout exact depth of the lesion, lateral view was done. And in lateral view, everything is ok. No need to worry much for this.
