What Causes Sudden Weight Loss Along With Back Pain?
Yes, my 31 year old daughter has experienced a 40 pd weight loss in 3 months and pain in her stomach and back. the CT shows swollen lymp nodes near the kidney and they are considering a stent near the kidney. next step is a biopsy of the lymp node. is this a sure sign of cancer or will the biopsy determine should I be worried.

While significant weight loss and enlarged lymph nodes raise a question of cancer but this does not necessarily mean it. There are other causes like tuberculosis, or autoimmune diseases like SLE et thy can cause weight loss and enlarged lymph nodes. So let's wait for a biopsy report.
