What Causes Sudden Weakness In The Legs?

Hello, over the past 24 hours, I have begun to experience a strange event in my left leg. As I am walking, it s almost as though someone has kicked my leg out from under me as I have almost fallen over once. Is it possible to have a pinched nerve in the leg socket cause that kind of reaction?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

It is the muscular spams and the great muscle like gastrocnemius muscle goes in state of spasm very fast and easily, particular manipulation or exercise is the best way to come out of the spasm state, wrong posture or walking style may cause this, it is not the reactive phenomenon of any kind, and not even seems to be serious disease, and no need to worry about this.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
