General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It may be due to enlargement of the thyroid gland as well as due to other infection.

I would like to give some tests:

1. Blood tests

Full blood count and ESR

Electrolytes

Thyroid function tests (T3, T4, TSH)

2. Urinalysis

3. Chest X-Ray may help diagnose generalized lymph node enlargement and lung cancer

4. Radioactive iodine uptake and the scan will help differentiate thyroid tumors and enlargements.

For now, these tests will suffice. Please post the results and a doctor here will follow you up and give the next course of treatment.

I have given a wide range of tests, not to miss anything. Do not worry and we are always ready to serve.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dipan Samanta, General & Family Physician
