What Causes Sudden Swelling In The Lips And Cheeks?
Doctor On 3rd July I had a sudden swelling on right side of lower lips and Gradually spreader to cheeks. Again on 9th July, the same swelling happens on upper lips of the right side. Now I am suffering from small blisters with slight pain on upper lips of left side. I am taking atarax 10 mg and mondeslor .. why it is happening
Your symptoms are clearly indicative of allergic reaction and the sudden swelling is occurring as soon as you are being exposed to allergen..
Atarax [hydroxizine] and Mondeslor [Desloratidine] are both anti allergic medication that will help in suppressing the allergy symptoms and the swelling will reduce..
As soon as you are re-exposed to allergen , the symptoms will recur..
So it is better to consult an Emergency room and get evaluated and a blood test can be done to rule out the exact cause of allergic reaction and try avoiding exposure to allergen..
Hope this helps..
Regards..
