Hi,
Let me make it very clear that the routine practice of drawing a parallel between Serum uric acid levels and gout is gruesomely misplaced. However, there are some gaps in the history just presented by you. The only gold standard investigation to diagnose with certainty a case of gout is aspiration of the fluid from the joint and microscopic examination for evidence of uric acid crystals in the joint.
Nevertheless, The first joint involved is often the ball of the great toe.
I suggest you to take Capsule Indomethacin 25 mg after food twice a day for two days. The pain must dramatically reduce if it is Gout.
Also, If the diet includes animal meat i suggest you to avoid it. Beverages like Beer should also need to be curtailed.
Lastly, you can adopt Mediterranean Diet which is good for Gout.
Hope this helps.
