What Causes Sudden Short Of Breath?
My husband has been very short of breath for the past 5-6 months. TodAy he got results of cardiac work up which was normal. They suggested Reactive airway disease and pulmonologist consult. My husband is 43. His only medicine is nexium for significant Herd. He has no other history. What could be happening.

Triggers could be cold temperature, viral infection, dust, pollen, certain foods/drinks, animal dander, exercise.
It can vary.
Gerd can worsen reactive airway disease as well.
His doctor may suggest imaging of the chest with chest x ray or ct.
Pulmonary function test may also be done.
