What Causes Sudden Rise In Body Temperature?

My fiancé is 64 years old he got dressed to go to work however he is off today. I took his temperature and it is 101.8 I gave him 2 Aleve to help bring down his temperature and I am putting cold compressions on his forehead. I am scared that he has something in his brain that is causing these help please. Moe

See first of all you need not to worry much and think directly of brain disease as there are so many cause of fever. As mentioned in your history I think it is just because of some sort of infection nothing else. For this you have to give him some antibiotic after an expert opinion with tab dolo 650 or tab calpol every 8-12 hours with tab rantac or tab famotid empty stomach. Continue cold sponging or compression as you are doing it rightly.
