What Causes Sudden Rise In Blood Pressure And Fast Heart Rate?

Hello Dr, I am 40 years old, female, usually have a BP 120/80, but every once in a while, I think according to lots of salt consumtion, or certain foods, my BP goes very high , like yesterday 176/92, my heart rate I think for the first time was 200bpm, I also really panic when this happens, so I guess I make it worse, and I have this slight fever, it's just 37, I know it's not fever but it makes me feel like I have a fever. Was this a heart attack, lots of thanks

Hello Ma,am

I read the details provided by you caredully, and i want to tell you that you already know the cause of your problem. yes its true that excessive salt intake and stress/anxiety are well eastablished facts that causes a rise in BP and in your case both are acting. You need to cut down your extra salt intake and start doing some meditation/yoga daily to keep your stress under control and start daily morning walks, avoid junk food, and stop smoking completely if you do.

No its NOT a heart attack.

Good Luck
