Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my body turns red from my head to my feet lasts about 3 hours then goes away then sometimes it happens in the middle of the night.it happens every day it does not matter what i am doing YESTERDAY WERE EATING OUT when it started again. It is starting to affect my eyes
There are two possibilities to consider. One is an allergic reaction brought out due to some specific and unknown allergic substance which you can best find by doing skin test. This would be available with a specialist in Allergy clinics. A rarer possibility is carcinoid syndrome. Elevation of 5 HIAA and other catecholamines in the blood would strongly suggest the diagnosis. But since you have only reddening and no other symptoms such as abdominal pain, diarrhea, bloating, wheezing, etc it is very less likely due to be carcinoid syndrome
