What Causes Sudden Pain In Middle Of Chest Radiating Towards Armpits?

I had a sudden pain in the middle of my chest which then radiated to both my armpits with more pain on the left. It lasted for approx 20 minutes. I am taking Coreg for high blood pressure. I am a female, 60 years old. Just had blood and urine tests a month ago and everything was fine. Should I be worried about this pain.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
From history it seems that you might be having some cardiac ailment like angina by seeing nature of pain and having high blood pressure.
There is another possibility of having pinched nerve pain due to cervical spondilitis.
You might require,
EKG and ,
X-ray cervical region for spondilitis.
Meanwhile take rest.
Ok and take care.
