Hi, I am a 37 yrs old Male living in Mumbai, India. There is a sudden outbreak of pimples/acnes from the last 3 months. Alhough I strictly maintain my hygiene and used to wash my face 3 times alteast a day, still I am unable to understand the reason of this sudden outbreak. These acnes are leaving a scar/blemish post recovery, pls suggest what can be done to get back to original skin tone. Currently under medication which is mentioned here. Also there are some skin tags on my neck from the past 10 yrs and few are still coming up. How to control these and remove them.Pls help.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your complain acne can occur due to a few common causes like clogged pores, oily skin, bacterial infection, overexposure to sun, skin inflammation etc..
The treatment will be a combination of antibiotic and anti-acne combinations.
You can start washing your face with salicylic acid containing facewash..
Apply a combination of creams containing Benzoyl peroxide and Clindamycin..
You can apply retinoids like Adapelene gel at night..
Scrub your face twice a week using a gentle scrub..
Avoid oily food and excess sun exposure..
Drink plenty of water..
You should apply Kojic acid, glycolic acid and arbutin containing creams to reduce the pigmentations and scars..
Vitamin E gel/oil/creams can also be effective..
You can also go for treatments like Microdermabrasion and dermal rollers..

The next part of your question is about Skin Tags:
Skin tags are benign small growths also known as Acrochondron and are commonly seen in obese individuals and in conditions causing hormonal changes..
There is no sure shot way to prevent their formation although in case if you are overweight ,loosing weight can help the frequency of its formation..
In case if it is cosmetically annoying to you, you can consult a Dermatologist and he can remove them by various procedures like freezing, lazers or conventionally by tying with a thread or suture..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
