General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I understand your concern. It seems from what you describe that you are experiencing symptoms due to a viral gastroenteritis, otherwise known as stomach flu. It could very well be Norovirus, being the most common virus causing the stomach flu.
There is no need to see a GP, instead, taking plenty of fluids to treat dehydration cause by vomiting and diarrhea is the main thing to take care of.
Symptoms typically last one to three days, with vomiting and diarrhea subsiding the first 24-48 hours after the appearance of symptoms. However, the resolution of the illness depends also on the individual state of the immune system. Taking vitamin C rich fruits and vegetables can also help expedite recovery.

Wishing you good health and all the best
