What Causes Sudden Nausea And Abdominal Pain While Doing Sit Ups And Crunches?

I should preface with I have IBS and have a history of gastro intestinal issues. I ve been doing a 30 day ab challenge. I have a few days left and haven t been able to complete the exercises. The last 2 days it s been challenging to do 20 sit ups (I have been doing 100+ of sit ups and crunches no problem). I have to stop due to sudden nausea (nearly vomited) and pain-upper abdominal right side reminiscent of pain I had before gallbladder was removed. Should I be concerned? Thank you, D

Hi ......

The crunchs and sit up gradually increased in frequency. Before doing Jim at least half hour before some food taken ...
Meanwhile doing crunch you might have muscular strain that can lead pain..

You have also history of IBS with GI problem.
For vomitting domperidone can taken. To rule out organic causes USG can be done.
For few days rest done.If pain more analgesic can taken.Hot compress can be done.Avoid over effort in exercise.
You will alright within few days.
Take care.
