What Causes Sudden Itchiness All Over Body?

i am really itchy for like more than 2 weeks. i went to the doctor, she told me it looks like bug bites. so she gave me pills. i took it all, but it didn't work. i don't know what to do. i am really itchy now. i know its not scabies and i shower everyday. pls help

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems like Allergic Contact Dermatitis caused due to some unknown allergen and few common causes for this can be Poison Ivy,washing detergents, leather, bugs and insects, latex and rubber, skin cosmetics, soaps etc..
You should consult an Allergist or an Immunologist and get thoroughly evaluated and in case if allergy is ruled out he can advise oral anti allergics and steroids and in case if the symptoms are severe injectable steroids can be given for faster relief..
In case of no relief or recurring episodes of the same the physician can advise you allergic testing like RAST test, patch test etc to rule out the exact cause of allergen..
Avoidance of the allergy agent and Immunotherapy can help..
