What Causes Sudden Immobility In The Left Leg?

My left leg just collapsed as I stood up after dinner tonight. I nearly fell, but my right leg was fine and I was able to catch myself. The left leg is weak and wobbly . No other symptoms or pain of any kind. I can walk, but feel I need to hold on to something or use a cane to avoid another leg collapse. Am wondering if I should get this checked at an Urgent Care? It seems to be slightly improved but not gone now.

Hi,
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.

I had gone through your question I can understand your concern.

The condition can be because of the wrong posture or tight cloths or sitting on hard surface too long.
Because of the nerve compression you had lost the control over the leg. You don't need to worry about it.

In case the loss of sensation or the motor control is not regained for more then an hour you must visit an emergency room for further evaluation.

You must also avoid sitting too long in single posture, avoid tight underwears, also take vitamin B12 supplements.

Hope my answer will helpful to you and write down to us further if you feel any need.

Regards
Dr Muzaffer Hussain Parray.
